- A student voice within the classroom
- An insight into the potential of student voice in engagement, participation and learning
- Student Voice: its multi faceted - more than just THE student voice
- What is heard? What actions result from this? Michael Fielding, 2001
- Its about their engagement and the extent of their experiences. Not just have a student council for the sake of it.
- Student Leadership? A cop out in terms of student voice. These roles don't necessarily give students a voice.
- Cacophony of competing voices. - doing of it and managing of it
- Teachers consulting with students in the classroom. Feedback from students given to teacher but sought from the teacher. Open dialogue between both.
- Pedagogical approaches to take control of their own learning.
- Enabling learners. UNCRC
- Space, voice, audience, response and action. - LUNDY, 2007
- New Junior Cycle - formative assessment. - students providing feedback to their teacher.
Minutes from last years AGM were read. No matters arising.
Discussion took place about guest speakers and initiatives such as 'teachmeet'.
