Last weekend saw the annual summer gathering of R5 Principals, Deputy Principals and invited guests.

This was followed by a superb meal in Kelly's main restaurant.
Our Saturday guest speaker was Mr. Padraig Flanagan, who spoke on the topic of Distributed Leadership: a worthwhile challenge. This was an enlightening speech about the worthwhile empowerment of staff for the benefit of the whole school community.
Our Director Clive Byrne and NAPD President Paule Byrne then gave insight and feedback on several current issues impacting our schools including; Industrial Relations, Junior Cycle Reform and the Centre for School Leadership.
Cathnia spoke about the NAPD Mike Hughes 'Magenta' workshops - booking now open for these extremely successful workshops for current and new cohorts.
A special thank you to everyone involved in the organisation of the event. Correspondence willl be sent to all members regarding our next R5 meeting.
