Mike Hughes NAPD “Magenta Principles” Workshops 2015 – 2016
NAPD, in an initiative to enhance the quality of Learning and Teaching in our schools, has invited Mike Hughes to conduct a programme of workshops in this academic year.
Focus:
Exploring practical strategies for teachers to help improve Learning and Teaching in the classroom
Exploring Practical strategies for school leaders to develop Learning and Teaching in their school
Fifteen schools (almost full!!) will participate at each location and the programme will comprise 3 workshops.
Places will be allocated on a first-come basis.

Each school should send the same 3 to 4 participants to all workshops: Principal and/or Deputy plus 2 to 3 internal champions of learning.
Teachers will be expected to take ideas explored at workshops back to their schools and be willing to share implementation experiences at subsequent workshops.
Workshops will begin at 9:00am and finish at 1:30pm, followed by light lunch.
The total cost per school for the programme is €500, payable to NAPD.
The programme will be based on Mike’s recently published “Magenta Principles” which is available from Outside the Box Learning in Naas (www.otb.ie). All participants will be required to have a copy of the book.
